⚠️ Public Service Announcement ⚠️ Fake Religiosity Is Real

Let’s be honest. Living in the West, especially in secular, capitalist societies, many Muslims have unknowingly absorbed a version of Islam shaped by public validation, not divine accountability. Islam has become content, not character. Influencers have become authorities, even without proper study. The platform has replaced the pulpit. We’re seeing: > Deen reduced to aesthetics and algorithms > Piety replaced by performance > Fame mistaken for knowledge > Influencers treated like scholars > Marketing taking priority over sincerity > And people are falling for it. 📌 Umar ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said: "Don’t be deceived by how much someone prays or fasts. Look at their honesty when they speak, their trust when entrusted, and their piety when close to the haram." [Hilyat al-Awliya] This was said in a time before Instagram reels, before self-styled da’wah “brands,” before online personalities had a million followers but no teacher. 🎯 So what is real relig...

■ Why Is Love a Spiritual Obligation?

Just like prayer Salah and fasting are outward obligations in Islam, inner love (‘ishq) is an inward obligation. Yes — not a recommendation, not a bonus, but a duty of the soul. Without this burning love for Allah ﷻ, and for the path that leads to Him, something essential is missing in our spiritual life. Love isn’t just a poetic emotion. It's a command of the Path — just like salat and sawm are obligations for the body, 'ishq (divine love) is an obligation of the heart. The soul is shaped from this pain of longing — the ache of separation, the yearning for nearness. This ache is not a punishment — it’s your proof that your soul still remembers Home. “Love carries the servant to Allah ﷻ.”  And this is exactly why on the Path of Tariqah (the spiritual road), love has been declared fard (compulsory). Without love, you're just breathing. But with love, you’re alive. Just look at the state of Majnun!  The old poets used to say: Majnun’s condition today is something else entirel...

■ Why Do Sufis Take Sleep So Seriously?

اعوذ باللہ من الشیطان الرجیم  بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم You know what’s funny? People think sleep is just a natural human need—like, lie down, close your eyes, lights off, done. But when you come and sit with the Sufis for a while, and you'll realise even sleeping can be a kind of ibadah (worship) when you do it with love, adab (etiquette), and the footsteps of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ in mind. First things first—sleep isn’t haram, don’t worry! But like everything else in the path of love, the way you sleep says something about who you are and how serious you are about walking the Path. The Murshids (guides) say sleep can either make you spiritually stronger… or it can make you lazy and lost in ghaflah (heedlessness). Ok Let’s start from the Sunnah, because that’s where our hearts feel safest. Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to sleep on his right side, facing Makkah. Simple, gentle, pure. Ayesha (RA) lovingly reported this beautiful detail, as if she was trying to teach the lovers of all tim...

Ilham-Inspiration

It is through ilham-'inspiration that i share many of the salawats, that i do but what is ilham? ■ Why Is Tasawwuf Necessary in an Islamic Society?

اعوذ باللہ من الشیطان الرجیم  بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم Now the question arises, and it’s a good one: Why is Tasawwuf even necessary for an Islamic society? Isn’t Islam already complete, with rules, prayers, law, halal, haram, and guidance? Why bring in something that many think is optional or misunderstood? But ah! Before we judge, we must understand. And to understand Tasawwuf, we have to go to the root—not the word, but the purpose. People get lost in arguing where the word came from—some say from “ṣūf” (wool), others from “ṣafā” (purity), but we won’t enter that alleyway now. Because the meaning of Tasawwuf is far more than grammar or origin. The real heart of Tasawwuf is this: ❝It is the deep cleaning of the soul.❞ Yes, not with water and soap, but with tears, truth, remembrance of Allah ﷻ, and humility. Tasawwuf has 2 aspects, both of them essential for anyone who wants not just to live Islam, but feel it deeply. 1. Tazkiyah al-Nafs (Purification of the Soul) 2. Spiritual Experi...
