The hadiths stating that Aisha was 6 or 9 years old are a copy and paste of the Talmud, in which pedophilia is legalized. Hadiths have no absolute authority in Islam. Only the Quran has this authority. The validity of a hadith is determined on its basis. Some hadiths are true, others false, and others partially true and partially false. The Quran does not legalize pedophilia, but it does order that marriage is legal—for both men and women—only when both have reached biological and psychological maturity. It also states about the Noble Prophet Muhammad—peace and blessings of God be upon him: "You are indeed of imminent morality." Therefore, the hadiths regarding Aisha's age at the time of her marriage are false. A historical fact shows that Aisha at the time of her marriage was between 16-18 years old: her elder sister was 10 years older than her and when Aisha got married, her elder sister was 27-28 years old. Another fact is the scientific study of Aisha's words spoken during the period of her marriage shows that she was between 16-18 years old. These two facts (historical and scientific) are in harmony with the Holy Quran on the subject of marriage. The hadiths are not.
